Sargent County Road Information

As the flooding runs thru this county, situations will change constantly, it is up to the individual to always be alert and travel with extreme caution on all rural road systems at this time and travel only when absolutely necessary. 

Roads Closed:

CITY OF COGSWELL

  Entrance into the City of Cogswell should be on ND State Hwy 11 turn north on 7^th AV (This is on  

   the west side of the Ball Diamonds off the Hwy).    All Roads are suffering damage-only necessary traffic is being encouraged in the community. 

Sargent County Road System:

County Road # 2 in Verner Township:  Between intersection 119 AV SE and 117 AV SE

County Road # 1 in Shuman Township: Between intersections 87 ST SE north to 86^th ST SE and

138^th AV SE to 140^th AV SE

County Road # 1 in Herman Township: Between intersections 148^th AV SE and 150^th AV SE

County Road # 10 in Shuman Township: beginning at 87^th ST SE to 89 ST SE

County Road # 1 in Shuman Township: Beginning at 140^th AV SE to 138^th AV SE

Access to the two Erickson residences should come on county Rd 10 from ND Hwy 13 to County # 1 turn

West-have to drive thru water just east of driveway

County Road # 10 Shuman Township: 140th AV SE to 138^th AV SE

County Road # 10A Shuman Township: 89^th St SE to 87^th ST SE

Weber Township Road System:

        135^th AV SE  between intersection 98th ST SE and 99^th ST SE  Emergency access should come into

The residence from the south on 135^th AV SE.

Forman Township:

       130^th AV SE between ND State Hwy 11 and County Road 3.  Emergency access to the

residences on that AV allowed. 

       95^th ST SE beginning at 126^th ST SE to 127^th AV SE

Access to 2 Planteen residences should come from County Rd #4 turn east on County Rd # 3, turn south on 126^th Av SE, turn east on 95^th ST SE

                 

 

Southwest Township

       99^th ST SE beginning with 119^th AV SE to 118^th AV SE. Emergency Access only on a

cautious basis travel to residents coming down 119^th AV to 100 ST SE turning north on 118^th.

Two Claeys residences located in the SW corner of sec 31 are isolated with no access in or out.

Vehicle entrance is not attainable coming in from South Dakota or from Sargent or Dickey county road

systems.  Entrance only on foot.  114^th AV SE going south to the residences shuts down for traffic 2 ½

miles from their home.  The families are fine and requesting no help at this time.  Contractors have

been notified for emergency repair as soon as conditions allow.

Rutland Township

Old Road 11 from the City of Forman east to county Rd # 10

134 AV SE beginning at Old Rd 11 south to 93 ST SE

91 ST SE beginning at ND State Hwy 11 east to 134^th AV SE.  For emergency access to residents in

this area please come in from ND state Hwy 11 on 91 ST SE and travel with extreme caution.

93 ST SE beginning at ND State Hwy 11 east to 135^th AV SE

135^th AV SE beginning at 93 ST SE south to 94^th ST SE.  Emergency Access should come in from

Rutland City County Rd #3 to 135^th AV SE.  Traffic cannot proceed past the Lock Residences.

137^th Av Beginning at County road # 3 going north one mile and turning west on 93^rd ST.

133^rd AV SE beginning at county Rd # 3 south to 96^th ST SE

96 ST SE beginning at County Rd # 10 west to silver Lake and traveling around the lake to the north

on 135^th AV to County Rd # 3.

         136^th AV SE beginning at County RD # 3 south to 96 ST SE

Bowen Township

         3 residential properties are isolated at this time.  The township is monitoring the situation and they are

all fine and require no help.  The issue is overland flooding causing road damage.

The Lacina family is using 86^th ST SE and turning north on 131^st AV.  Planks are set up for foot traffic to get across the washout.  The road on the north side of the resident is flooded with no passage.

The Olson Residence has a wash out on the north end of the mile on 131^st AV SE and access from the south is flooded and washed out.   They are walking out to the north and being picked up by the nearest neighbor as needed.

The Olafson residence has a washout located on 88 ST SE between 130^th Ave SE and 131 Ave SE.  They also are walking out across planks of the washout and accessing their vehicles on the other side.  No access available from any other direction.  The township have these issues on their emergency list for tentative repair as soon as conditions allow and contractors are available.

90 ST SE (old Rd 11) beginning at Forman City on Maple AV to 126^th AV SE

88^th ST SE beginning at 130^th AV to 131^st AV SE

131 AV SE beginning at 84^th ST SE to 86 ST SE

85 ST SE beginning at County Rd # 6 west to 129^th AV SE

86^th ST SE beginning at County Rd # 1 west to 126^th AV SE

Forman Township Rd # 127^th AV beginning at ND State Hwy 11 south to 96^th ST SE

To access the Bohnenkamp Residence come in from Cogswell County #4 turn East on County # 3 turn North on 127^th AV

To Access the Planteen’s 2 residences come in from Cogswell County #4 turn East on County # 3 turn

South on 126^th Av SE and turn east on 95^th ST SE

To access the Kudelka Residence come in from Cogswell County #4 turn East on County # 3 turn North on 130^th AV SE   David Fiala continue north on 130^th Av turn W on 93 ST SE

To Access the Mlnarik Residence come in from Cogswell county # 4 turn E on County #3

                   Marboe Township

101 ST SE beginning at 150^th AV SE west to 148^th AV SE

98 ST SE beginning at 148^th AV SE to County Rd #14

Access to the Baldwin Residence should come from the County Rd 5 east, turn North at 146^th AV SE turn East on 98^th ST SE

Ransom Township

139^th AV beginning at ND Hwy 11 to 93^rd ST SE.  Access to Steve & Mark Wyum residences come from ND state Hwy 11 —Access to Mike Wyum residence enter thru Rutland county Rd 10 turn E on county rd 3 turn N on 130^th AV SE

91^st SE SE beginning at 140^th AV SE to 142^nd AV SE

Access to Anderson residence come north from ND Hwy 11 to 91 ST SE turn west

             Willey Township

137^th Av SE beginning at ND State Hwy 13 to 80^th ST SE

               Dunbar Township

133^rd AV SE beginning at 86 ST SE to County Rd # 1

137^th AV SE Beginning at 85^th ST SE to County Road #1  Access to The Schutt Residence –come from 138^th AV SE south to 85^th ST SE turn west to 137^th AV SE turn south,  access is by foot or ATV across fields only

Shuman Township

87^th ST SE beginning at County Rd # 10 to 142^nd AV SE

Access to Warner Residence is coming from County Rd 12 turn west on 86^th ST Se turn south on 141 AV SE turn west on 87^th ST SE.  Access to Wohler residence is from County Rd 12 turn west on 86^th ST SE, turn south on 142 Av SE, turn east on 87^th ST SE

Taylor Township

131 AV SE beginning at 96^th ST SE to 101st ST SE (County Rd #7)

                  Brampton Township

121^st AVSE beginning at 100 St SE to 101 ST SE 99^th

99^th ST SE beginning at 122^nd AV SE to 121 AV SE

Jackson Township

120^th AV SE beginning at ST HWY 11 south to 93^rd ST SE

92^nd ST SE beginning at 120 AV SE to 119^th AV SE
