Volunteers began laying sandbags across Hwy 27 bridge on Monday evening, March 22, at about 8:30 pm. The bridge was closed from Monday evening until Tuesday. Ice jams caused the river to rise and begin lapping over onto the highway in spots.

One of many large ice chunks on the north side of the Hwy 46 bridge in Enderlin. The ice jam marked the crest of the Maple River in Enderlin. The Maple crested at 7 A.M. on Friday, March 19 at 12.69 ft.
